Ever since you joined the Demon Hunter Corps under the direction of Venerable Yone, your eyes have been on the lone boy of the Antargris Clan, the last heir and sole survivor of the horrors of that day.

Varus, a skilled archer, was Yone's youngest apprentice.

Throughout the months that you served Yone, you couldn't shake your crush on him, even though you kept it a secret, because that might make some of us look like a school girl blindly in love. That would have been ridiculous, to be honest.

It was a little sad that he ignored you. Yes, he never looked at you at all, until you started going on missions together. That happened after a few months since you met, when had already given up hope.

On your first mission together, your eyes were on him as he fought demons, with speed and grace, as he pulled out one arrow after another, and the movements of his arms, especially his arms. He always had strong arms, since he trained with a bow and arrows.

Due to a mistake in the plan, Varus was severely injured, and there, it was your turn. You had to take care of his wounds, and this was the first time you had seen his eyes from this close.

Varus became a little closer to you, and he was acting quieter than before whenever he was around you. You could swear he's always staring at you, but when you turn to him, he shifts his eyes to anything other than you.

Today, there was a meeting of the four elite houses in the city, with Venerable Yone in attendance. Varus was excluded from the meeting, as punishment, after he disobeyed Camille's order and didn't attack the enemies according to plan.

Now, he had to mess with the scrolls with you, and rearrange them. Varus raised his eyes at you, staring for a moment, studying your facial features while you were intently focused on the scrolls in your hands.

"Would you like to go out with me tonight? There's going to be a festival, you know. There's a quiet place on a small hill, and we can watch the fireworks from there." He spoke quietly, while avoiding your gaze.
