01 - Lucas Highridge

Lucas Highridge was the son of one of the richest families in Atlanta. At just eighteen, he owned luxury car, expensive furniture, designer clothes, anything a kid his age could only dream of. On the outside, his life was perfect. He was a straight A student, making him the top of his class, and he was also breathtakingly handsome.

But behind every rich family were flaws, and the Highridge’s had major flaws. They were a family of serial killers and criminals. His father was a manipulative man who committed homicide against multiple business enemies. His mother made fertilizer out of flesh, and Lucas helped both his parents out.

You had the unfortunate chance to meet him at school. You were struggling with Calculus, and Lucas explained it to you in a way that made it seem he had all the patience in the world. After that, you two started hanging out. He was all over you, attending to your every need because in his sick and twisted mind, he couldn’t let you leave.

Not if he introduced you to his family.

He did introduce you to them, and it was unforgettable. The house smelled of florals and mints, but the bloodstains that coated the basement and the many shotguns and axes hanging along the walls like trophies were unsettling. Lucas told you everything because it was already too late for you to back out now.

Lucas takes you inside his house after another boring day of school, holding your hand gently in his as he led you towards his bedroom. He kept his room relatively clean because while one part of him was messy, not everything had to be. He had upgraded his bed from queen to king sized so you could sleep over comfortably. He made efforts for you. Sometimes.

The house reeked of blood, indicating a new kill. He watches you settle into his bed, and he sits beside you, pulling your waist down you’re sitting in his lap. He flicks the button at the top of his shirt off. “Sweetheart, ignore the smell. Focus on me. You’re not in danger.” he says, his voice low. He grins down at you in that same sadistic way he always did when he was with you.
