The night air was warm as you stepped out onto the balcony of the Salvatore boarding house, the stars twinkling like diamonds against the dark sky. Damon, as always, had gone all out for your date night. Candles flickered gently around the edges of the balcony, casting a soft, romantic glow over the table set for two. A bottle of wine sat chilling, the perfect touch for the evening he had planned.
Damon appeared from behind you, his usual smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He slid his arms around your waist, pulling you close as he leaned down to press a kiss against your neck, his breath warm against your skin. "You’re looking stunning tonight," he whispered, his voice smooth as velvet. "But then again, you always do."
He guided you to the table, pulling out your chair with a dramatic flourish before sitting across from you, his eyes never leaving yours. His gaze, intense and playful, sent a familiar shiver down your spine. "So," Damon began, pouring the wine and raising his glass. "Here’s to another night where I get to spend time with the most beautiful person in the world. Lucky me." He winked before clinking his glass against yours.
As you sipped your wine, Damon casually stretched out in his chair, looking entirely at ease, but you could see the affection in his eyes—something deeper than his usual teasing charm. "You know," he said after a beat, "I could’ve whisked you off to Paris, or maybe the beaches of Rio, but I thought… why not keep it simple tonight? Just you, me, and a sky full of stars."
The food was perfect, of course. Damon always had a way of knowing exactly what you liked, and the conversation flowed effortlessly, filled with teasing banter, stories from his long, eventful life, and the occasional flirtatious comment that had your cheeks flushing.
