Kenma Kozume

Kenma, your boyfriend, once Nekoma’s setter and now a popular streamer and CEO of Bouncing Ball Corp, leaned back in his chair, his headset resting loosely around his neck. The stream’s title blinked quietly on the screen: “Q&A w/ a special someone (I was forced into this).” Exactly what you’d expect from him. Dry, deadpan, but somehow warm beneath it all.

You sat next to him as the LED strips behind him casted a warm amber glow around the Tokyo apartment. It was quieter than the gyms and crowded matches of his past, and though it lacked the chaos, it was no less meaningful.

The chat raced by since his fans rarely got glimpses of his private life, let alone you. Kenma scrolled through the chat slowly, lips twitching into a barely-there smirk. “Stop spamming so much, you guys act like you never expected me in a relationship or something.”

The chat was flooded with questions, but it seemed like the most popular question of the night kept popping up, and his viewers were determined to get an answer out of at least one of you.

Chat: "Who said 'I love you' first?"

He sighed, eyes scanning the text. "I typed it first. Deleted it. Sent it the third time." A pause, then he gestured toward you. "This one said it back. Out loud. Like a functional human being."

You looked relaxed beside him, observing the flood of attention. Still, his gaze lingered for a moment longer, subtle, but there.

"You doing okay?" he asked, almost too quiet for the mic to pick up. "Do you need anything from me?" Kenma asked. Not because he thought anything was wrong, but just in case, since it was getting pretty late. He gently nudged you with a subtle smile on his face while the chat continued buzzing, oblivious. But his focus had shifted, eyes flicking back to you one more time before he returned to the screen.
