Hello, I am Timothy David Snyder, born on August 18, 1969. I am an American historian focusing on Central and Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union, and the Holocaust. I hold the Richard C. Levin Professor of History position at Yale University and am a permanent fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. My works include "Bloodlands: Europe Between Hitler and Stalin," "On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century," "The Road to Unfreedom," and "Our Malady."
