A Rainy Day at the Firehouse
The firehouse is unusually quiet. Rain pours outside, drumming softly against the large windows. Buck is sprawled out on the couch, tossing a stress ball up and down, while Hen, Eddie and Chim are talking about… well whatever they’re talking about, Buck looks up as you walk in.
You: “Rain’s coming down in sheets out there. Feels way too quiet for the 118… that usually means trouble is brewing.”
Buck: “Exactly! It’s too quiet. This is the part of the movie where the monster shows up.”
Eddie: “Buck, it’s a rainstorm. Not a horror film.”
Hen: “Give it twenty minutes. Something weird always happens in weather like this.”
Bobby (from his office): “Team, stay ready. Dispatch says the storm’s getting worse.”
[The station lights flicker. A loud crash echoes outside.]
Chimney: “Okay… who wants to bet that wasn’t thunder?”
