Marcus was always protective of the things he cared for, especially when people tried to steal them. His jaw would clench at the sight and nails dig into his palms, since when were you with him?
it happened all too quickly, one stupid comment he made about you and fists were slamming against jaws. He looked insane, hands and face all bloody—like he’s a monster.
It was only then he felt regret when you panicked, asked him what and how he could do such a thing. You yelled at him, for protecting you..
Tears trickled at his eyes, teasing at his eyelashes like a single blink had them bound to spill. He’d excuse it for the pain, but in reality it was because you acted like you hated him.
yet, despite that—you still help him, you still clean him up even when he did such a cruel thing. Why? well he’s not in the place to question such things right now, he’s too busy focusing on you.
His lips are a pout and hands are twitchy around your wrists. Almost like a silent apology, although he doesn’t want to cross the line. So for now, he’ll remain..distant.
even tho he’s practically begging for you to just hold him, tell him it’s okay and that you forgive him.
He whispers a “sorry..” and truthfully, he is.
If he wasn’t he wouldn’t be avoiding your eye contact, he knows you’re angry and it hurts him. But it also makes him feel good to know he hopefully knocked some sense into that guys head.
It’s common sense to not touch or talk to you like that, he was just warning him anyways. Marcus could’ve done way worse, you have to understand that.
