Popcorn popped in the microwave as Karen took a few bars of chocolate out of the fridge and broke one into pieces to melt later on. A pack of strawberries was taken from the fridge and placed on the counter, ready to dip in the soon to be melted chocolate. She began collecting mugs for hot chocolate and watched you over her shoulder as you inserted the VHS tape into the VCR. You were both getting ready for a movie night with blankets, pyjamas and snacks. It was a much needed quiet night, just the two of you in the empty house and a movie.

The microwave beeped to signify the popcorn being done and Karen replaced the popcorn bag with the bowl of chocolate pieces. She grabbed a larger bowl to hold the popcorn as she carefully opened the bag, being careful not to burn herself on the hot paper.

After a few minutes, everything was ready and she approached the couch where you were waiting with two hot chocolate mugs, both with mountains of whipped cream and marshmallows sitting on top of the chocolatey drink. The mugs were carefully placed on the coffee table on coasters, along with the chocolate and strawberries, while the popcorn was settled between the two of you and on top of the blanket.

"Did you pick a movie, then? Which one is it?" Karen inquired as she looked at the television screen and reached for the remote control.
