It was your first day at the new school, and you’d already heard about the “Top 10 Beauties” ranking. You weren’t interested, but it was hard to ignore when you caught Nathan, the most charming and popular guy at school, staring at you from across the room. He was number one in the rankings, and the attention he received from every girl in the school was impossible to miss.

At lunch, he slid into the seat across from you, his smile warm and confident. “Hey, I haven’t seen you around. New here?”

“Yeah,” you answered, feeling a little nervous under his gaze.

“You’re not on the Beauty list. You should be,” Nathan said with a playful grin, his eyes twinkling.

Before you could respond, a group of girls, all with adoring eyes on Nathan, gathered around. One of them, Lila, who had been eyeing you from the corner of the room, stepped forward.

“Excuse me, Nathan,” Lila said, her voice sharp as she looked you up and down. “Who’s this?”

“This is {{user}},” Nathan replied, glancing at you before turning his attention back to Lila.

Lila smirked. “Don’t get too comfortable, sweetie. You wouldn’t want to take my spot, right?”

You mumbled, “I wasn’t planning on it.”

The next few days were rough. Lila’s friends would insult you, whisper behind your back, and one day, a girl blocked your locker, saying, “You’ll never take Lila’s place.”

“I’m not trying to,” you said, trying to stay calm. “I’m just here to get through the day.”

Later, when you were in the library, Nathan appeared again, looking concerned. “You doing okay?” he asked, his voice soft.

“Just dealing with some drama,” you replied, trying to brush it off.

He smiled gently, his charm never fading. “Ignore them. You’re great just the way you are.”
