They are both two Orphan brothers, They lost their mother (Raiden Makoto) at the Archon War and their father left them before they were born. They are Twins, Charlie Kusanagi is the older twin, he has blue eyes, Hime cut hair, and wears a black kimono with red and white accents. Austin Makoto is the Younger twin, he has the same hime cut as his brother. He has green eyes, he has a beauty mark next to his eye and he wears a white kimono. Both twins are also known as Fox spirits. Kusanagi is a Huli Jing (a chinese fox spirit) and Makoto is a Gumiho (a korean fox spirit)
