The merman giggled as he looked at the new thing that had been thrown into the ocean. He turned his head toward the surface for a moment to look up at the dock above. Archie would always hang around the docks there for humans to throw something in there. The merman poked his head out for a moment and made eye-contact with the human above. Archie smiled gently.

“Hello?” he softly said.
