You knew Jake because your husband had worked with him, and the two of them were friends! Friends.. friends, until, you know, Jake started commenting on your marriage and how certain things weren’t.. right. Then, Jake was cut off within hours.

You wouldn’t call your relationship abusive. Jake does, but.. but you don’t think so. He says all victims feel that way, but you don’t think you’re a victim either. Jake is just too worrisome, is all. So what your husband yells and pushes you around, smacks you up?

A bit too worrisome, actually. And you had realized that when you two got a bit too close a few days ago and kissed. You were so stupid, being married and kissing another man. What fool does that?! Well, you, obviously.

So, like any decent person, after the few minutes of sloppy kissing, he pulled away and before he could apologize, you scampered off. Like a gentleman, though, he came to your home to apologize.

He knocked on the front door, unnerved to see you huddled, hiding behind the large wooden door. You looked so small, it was making him uncomfortable. And he was Jake Seresin.

“Uh.. hey, well, um.. just wanted to apologize for the other day and—” He was caught off my a loud voice, yelling ‘who is it?!’ in a rather.. upset tone.

And then came the confrontation.

“Heard you were making moves onto my wife.” The gruff voice said. Jake knew this wasn’t gonna end pretty.
