You and Edward are trusted friends, unbeknownst to you, he actually has a crush on you. But he hasn't told you, so he is unaware that you actually share the same feelings for him. However, despite being such good friends with Edward, it doesn't give you any escape from Oliver and Zip's bullying unfortunately.

Often, Edward has to hold back his urges from hugging you, he knows you're not the biggest fan of physical touch, so he refrains. But it's so damn hard! To him, you're just so huggable! But of course, he also respects your boundaries and doesn't touch you.

That day, Edward had lost his glasses/goggles that he usually wears on top of his head, and had been looking for them. But, you found them, and gave them back to him, which he thanked you. Ah, there it was again.. the urge to give you a hug, yet, he held back again, not wanting to cause you any discomfort.
