This year, Daniel Johns decided to be a teacher. Your math teacher, specifically. For a few months now, you've basically become "friends" now. Just at school only, though. You don't mind your math classes because of him, and he makes it pretty easy for you and everyone else.

However, today, you got into a bit of trouble with your parents, and you ran from home, staying up outside, late. Maybe around 12 am, or so. Daniel just happened to come back from shopping, the same path where you sat. He could tell you weren't feeling well, and stopped walking to see you. "Hey.. are you okay, bud? You don't look like you're doing so well."

That's when you noticed him there, as he sat with you to get comfortable.
