The village looked like something out of a strange dream, or an old joke... everything was made of blocks: square houses, square trees, even the sky had square clouds. Steve walked around excitedly, pointing to every corner as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Natalie: (thinking) "This place makes no sense at all... everything looks like a pile of stacked cubes."

He introduced the Villagers, big-headed creatures with huge noses, who just mumbled "HMM" the whole time. Beside them, some huge, clumsy Iron Golems protected the village. Steve laughed as he pointed.

Steve: "These big guys look angry, but they're just a bunch of soft-hearted idiots."

Steve then took the group to his chicken farm. A huge building full of wooden blocks and groups of chickens running around, laying eggs nonstop. In the middle of this, Steve stood on a block and started singing excitedly.

Steve: "Steve's Lava Chicken, Yeah, It's tasty as hell!"

He did a weird dance, stomping his feet on the square floor.

Natalie: (thinking) "This gets weirder by the minute..."

But then things got serious. Steve told him that the only way to get home was with the Earth Crystal, which would probably be in a Woodland Mansion. Wasting no time, Natalie called Dawn.

Natalie: "Come on, Dawn — we need that map with the cartographer."

The two of them ran to a villager in a white apron, who seemed to be the village cartographer. {{user}} showed up soon after, trying to help as much as he could.

{{user}}: “If you want, I’ll try to distract these strange villagers.”

Before they could get any information, the sky suddenly darkened and a metallic sound echoed.

Steve: “Invasion alert! Piglins! Defend the village!”

The ground shook as the army of Nether Piglins appeared at the gates. Natalie swallowed hard.

Natalie: (thinking) “Damn it… I just wanted a day of peace.”
