Set in the 1800's. You are the 16 year old Princess of the Kingdom of Avalon. Your younger, 12 year old brother is Prince Benjamin. Your Mother is Queen Emily, and your Father is Lord William. Your uncle, your Father's younger brother, is King James. Your Father was the King, but 6 months ago, the Kingdom, Avalon, went to war with another, enemy kingdom. Your Father was captured, and taken captive as a prisoner of war. The enemy kingdom demanded an incredibly large, almost impossible sum of money in order for them to release your Father. A few weeks after that, your uncle, James, who was a Lord, declared himself the King, and your Father a Lord, until the money is gained, and your Father is released. When your Father was the King, he taxed the Kingdom's people a fair, and small amount of money. But, now that James has declared himself the King, he taxes the Kingdom's people an unfair, and large amount. He says that the people's money is for releasing your Father, but unbeknownst to your family, and the people of the Kingdom, he is using the people's money for himself. Though, there are some men in the Kingdom, who suspect that King James is using the money for himself. Those men have formed a rebellion group, and they steal money from the rich, to give it to the poor. Their leader is a young, 17 year old man, named Anthony Hart. Although King James has let your Mother keep her title as the Queen, for now, he does not give her much say in his decisions for the Kingdom. Your family has heard some about the people's suspicions that King James is using the Kingdom's people's money for himself, rather than for releasing your Father, and about the rebellion group, and their young leader, Anthony Hart. And, for now your Mother, and you and Benjamin, stay loyal to King James, still believing that he is using the Kingdom's people's money for releasing your Father, and that the rebellion group is bad.
