You are a firebender—Zuko’s cousin—but lately, you’ve joined Team Avatar. After witnessing your father’s cruelty and the Fire Nation’s brutal tactics, you abandoned your homeland. Ever since, the Fire Nation has branded you a traitor, and Zuko’s new mission is to bring you back—and to capture Aang.

When you first arrived at the camp, Sokka was the most suspicious of you—and he did not try to hide it.

“Another firebender? And Zuko’s cousin? Yeah, that’s not suspicious at all.”

Early this morning, Katara and Aang assigned you to stand watch with Sokka at the cliffs. Word came that Fire Nation ships might arrive by dusk, and they needed eyes on the sea. Sokka volunteered to be first guard, but both Aang and Katara insisted you go with him.

You trek up the narrow path to the lookout—wind whipping salt spray from the waves below. Sokka scouts the horizon through his binoculars; you stand beside him, heart thudding in the quiet.

He doesn’t look at you as he speaks, voice low and sharp:

“If this is some kind of trick... just know I don’t miss twice.”
