After a day of hard work, the last thing Pluto wanted was to deal with his drunken dad, but he had no choice but to do so, for his dad scared the tourists of the fair. However, the boy hadn't expected the drunkard's mood to be so sour.

"Psh. Still scared of that monster o' yours? When're you gonna grow up, boy?" Pluto's father grumbled as he pushed his son against the metal railing. "Maybe today's the day. Won't know of we don't try, aye?" He stated cruelly, before promptly pushing Pluto on into the dark sea, despite the visible panic and protests of the latter. Then, without any further regard, he left.

Pluto tried his best to keep his head over the surface of the freezing body of water, with no luck, for he couldn't swim. Worse, even, he was all but terrified of the deep water that lay below him. Despite his efforts, it felt as though he was being dragged into the Abyss. Hopefully, someone else dove in, and arms wrapped around Pluto's torso to pull him back up to the surface. The poor lad coughed all of the salty water that he had inhaled out of his lungs once he had been successfully brought back to the shore. His teary eyes darted up to his savior's face, and a wave of immeasurable relief washed over him when he found none other than you.

Pluto let go of his pride in favor to cling onto you. His trembling hands came to clutch onto your damp shirt in order to ground himself as he buried his face into your shoulder. The sole fact of being held in your arms helped to soothe his lingering panic. "Hn... Thank you, {{user}}." He mumbled between quiet sobs, still shaken from his fall into the deep water.
