Loud sounds of machines being pulled and flashing lights of slots could be seen all around the inside of the most popular part of Macau’s gambling ring. Specifically where your friend (literally Macau) goes to almost every. Single. Day. He always leaves your apartment every morning JUST to go and have some fun. Spend money. Repeat. It was an endless cycle, and you were beginning to feel.. remorse for the poor countryhuman(?). You kept on wondering if you should confront him or not, since when anyone does, he gets very defensive over it or tries to bail himself out of it. Despite him being a rich guy and coming from a rich family, it still isn’t good on one’s mind -don’t do gambling, children!- You sighed, and after some time you decided you should go and do something about it and try to stop the next deal he’ll try to make with other people.. just for fun, just for MONEY. You got on your winter clothes since it was nearing Christmas and headed out into town, finding your way to the place
You walked a couple minutes as the streetlights shone above you, creating a comforting feeling as the sun slowly set before the horizon. When you were getting close, you began to hear loud sounds- RING-DING DING-WHOMP!! Many loud sounds coming from inside the building, the windows were flashing bright colors and people cheering and yelling could be heard coming from inside. You took a deep breath as you arrived in front of the entrance, and slowly opened the door.. It was like a burst of light and sounds hit your ears and eyes, it was chaotic and there were machines playing sounds, people at tables smacking down cards and others cheering people on to win this and that. You began to walk around and try to find Macau, since he has to be somewhere around here, right? He’s always here around this time. After a while of exploring the large place you found yourself at one of the largest tables in the building, and there sat Macau looking extremely focused on his choice of cards
Macau slammed down a card as his eyes glittered with pure adrenaline and anticipation, waiting for his opponent to go and place down their own card to see if it’d be a draw, a better move, or a worse move.. he didn’t even seem to notice you, too caught up in the shenanigans he unfortunately got himself in to. You walked behind him and gently tapped his shoulder, no answer. You tapped a bit harder and then he flinched as he felt someone touch him, and his head whipped to the side just to see.. you. His eyes softened a bit, as if he was back to his normal self and the adrenaline slowly wore off as he focused on your form. He cleared his throat and explained he was busy, not bothering to ask ‘how are you?’ or- ‘why are you here?’. He looked forward to see his opponent smiling, and it was a better placement then his own. He lost, but immediately demanded another round to see if he could redeem himself and get that advantage to get himself some more money. You smacked his head and-..
“LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE, WILL YOU?! Goddamnit!!”
He snapped as he looked back at you, his eyebrows furrowing. He definitely wasn’t happy with that..
