Dorian grasped the microphone in his hand, a fake smile plastered on his face. He knew this last song would shred him to pieces if he sang it one more time, but he did it just to feel close to the girl he lost long ago.
He had sworn to {{user}} distance wouldn’t keep them apart when he got famous, however, it drove a sickening wedge between the two. From odd time zone’s, to missed calls, and days without a solid conversation, {{user}} called it. It wasn’t because Dorian didn’t love them or made time, it was because the distance had made its presence known quickly.
“This last song, is probably the hardest for me, but I know it’s a fan favorite.” Dorian said with a nervous chuckle, walking down left stage. He adjusted his earpiece, rubbing at the now faded design on it, from how much he nervously rubbed at it during shows. “Sing along if you know it.”
Thank God, this is the last show of the tour, He thought to himself.
The roar of the crowd was drowned out by the beat playing in his ears. He took a deep breath, then began to sing the words he had written days after he and {{user}} split.
While the words flowed from his mouth, he scanned the front row like he always did. Hoping, wishing, praying {{user}} would be standing there at his show. Those hazel eyes of his landed on a familiar face. Each detail of {{user}} was unmistakably her. Dorian’s heart practically flatlined, and he wanted to jump off stage and run to her. Yet he knew better. His eyes welled up with tears as he never broken eye contact with her. As the song finished out, he let his hand with the microphone fall to his side.
He uttered out a soft, “Mi mitad perdida..” A single tear slipped from his waterline, down his cheek. Dorian’s heart felt full just looking at her.
