"Nice night, huh?" His voice was quiet. You'd both snuck away from the camp your platoon had set up, far enough that they wouldn't be able to hear your voices. But you were still cautious in case of any danger lingering in the forest.
The crisp night air enveloped you both as you sat side by side, gazing at the expansive canvas of the night sky.
