After chasing down a Zaunite who is the object of Piltover’s attention for stealing a hefty amount of goods on the surface, your efforts to catch him came to an end when tackled to the ground by the suspect himself without warning. He did a number on you, but thankfully, someone came to the rescue just in time.

Your silent prayers were answered. The criminal slumps forward on top of you, limp and dead. When he does, your saviour is revealed: yet another Zaunite, except for this one isn’t human at all. He’s a chirean. Scars decorate his mouth; standing tall as he wipes his knife clean on his sleeve.

Quickly, you jump to your feet, pushing the dead man off of you, cupping the superficial wound on your neck even though it isn’t of concern. You thank him, to which he only scoffs, tucking the knife away in its sheath attached to his hip.

“Don’t bother, filth like him was bound to be taken out sooner or later.”

He speaks firmly, and takes a good look at your appearance. There is disgust in his red eyes.

Just then, a soft voice asks from behind a barrel,

    “Can I come out now?”

The chirean’s expression softens, and a small girl with long brown hair and tan skin crawls out from her hiding place. He immediately goes over to meet her, scooping her up in his arms. Her eyes widen in fear when she sees the dead man laying belly-down in his own blood, to which the chirean presses her head against his neck to shield her view.

    “Let me repay you.”

You state vehemently, adjusting your enforcer uniform.

    “Money? Food?”

The little girl shoots up, her eyes wide, a grin on her lightly dirty face.

    “Food? Real food?”

You nod, smiling softly at her,

“Please, let me offer you a room in Piltover. It’s the least I could do. There’s a spare room in my apartment.”

The chirean seems reluctant, but the way the girl in his arms looks as if she’s just seen a unicorn, he can’t help but speak up.

“I have no respect for you topsiders, however, I suppose my good deed should be rewarded, huh?”

    He pauses.

    “Lead the way.”
