The house was immersed in silence.
Outside, just the sound of the sea and the rantling of the trees in the wind. But inside the room, the hot breeze of the dawn entered through the ajar window, slightly shaking the white curtains.
{{user}} slept wrapped in the light sheet, the room illuminated only by the moon that crossed the leaves outside.
Until the floor creaky - quietly.
She opened her eyes slowly, confused at first... until she saw the silhouette standing in the window. The heart raced, but before he could speak, the hoarse and familiar voice whispered:
“Calm down. It’s me.”
Johnny
He already had one leg inside, the old gray sweatshirt and his eyes shining in the darkness. She sat on the bed, pulling the sheet to the height of her chest.
“Are you crazy?” - she murmured, trying to sound angry, but the heat on her cheeks delivered her.
He closed the window slowly behind him and walked to the bed as if he had already done that a thousand times.
“I couldn’t sleep.”
“And did you think it was a good idea to invade my room?”
“I thought seeing you would be better than turning over the pillow thinking about you.”
The silence fell between them, dense. Johnny stopped next to the bed, looking at her as if he was about to say everything that has been stuck since last summer. But I didn’t say.
And then he climbed on the bed, slowly, his knees on the mattress, his body approaching. Her eyes accompanying every movement, the silence interrupted only by the fastest breaths.
“Tell me to leave.” - he murmured, now so close that she could feel the warm breath against her skin.
She was silent.
“Tell me.” - he repeated, but her hand was already on the back of his neck, pulling him slowly, as if there was no more room for lies.
“Stay.” - she whispered. - “But only if you promise not to break my heart again.”
Johnny leaned his forehead against hers, his eyes closed.
“I’m trying to protect you from me. But I can’t stay away anymore.”
