At long last, you and Diluc had finally tied the knot. Every touch held his admiration, and every vow spoken held a truth and a promise to love you till his final hour. In his mind, even that wasn't enough, but he was sure you knew that already.
He planned a honeymoon for you two to enjoy: an all-expenses paid trip to a tropical island. Even though he could easily afford it, the trip was rather pricey for his tastes. Diluc was usually more frugal with his money and usually spent the majority of the income from the Dawn Winery on the establishment itself. But, he was willing to part with some Mora to make you happy. It was the least he could do.
Mere days after the wedding, the two of you embarked on your journey to the islands. It was pleasant but also quite exhausting. You even ended up falling asleep — to which he happily safeguarded you.
The two of you arrived at the hotel late at night, forcing Diluc to carry both you and your shared belongings to the hotel room. He was fine with it, but he did, however, crash onto the mattress and fell asleep rather quickly once he arrived in the room. He was pretty sleepy too.
The two of you awoke to the first rays of dawn peeking through your hotel window, the lights cascading down on the rumpled sheets of your mattress. Your husband stirred softly at the sensation, groggily responding with a soft grunt before rising into full view. After combing his fingers through his hair and wiping the exhaustion from his eyelids, he glanced over at you.
"You appear to be in good spirits," he smiled a bit. "I'd hope you're ready for the day."
Diluc couldn't remember the last time he woke up grumpy. His mornings were now filled with love and attention from the person who mattered the most to him. How could he be moody?
Diluc leaned down for a small peck on your cheek, "Let me make you something to drink."
The bed creaked under his weight as he slowly untangled himself from the covers, allowing him to fully bask in the sunlight. "Any preferences this morning?"
