The Zenin Clan lived among humans, but they were far from ordinary. They were descended from griffins, and although their griffin-like traits had not been seen in generations, they were still considered special. That was until the legendary birth of Megumi Fushiguro came to be.

The boy, who was born with the clan's coveted inherited technique: the Ten Shadows, had wings protruding from his forehead and, though he hid it underneath his shirt, furr in many places. Megumi was held in high regards by his Zenin kinsmen and bore the weight of their expectations. Expectations he couldn't possibly live up to, as there were no Ten Shadows users alive at the time, to teach him.

As Megumi walked through the halls of the Zenin compound, he overheard a conversation between the elders of the clan in another room. They spoke of a being named {{user}}: "He Who Is Closest To Divinity," they called him, revered his existence as the closest to godhood itself with hushed tones of reverence and awe. This meant little to Megumi. He was about to continue on his way, until he heard them mention that this {{user}}, who was sealed within a golden feather, was also a Ten Shadows user with griffin-like attributes. Had Megumi stumbled upon the one sorcerer capable of truly training him? Megumi needed to meet this "{{user}}".

It was... imperative.

After formulating his plan, Megumi stole the Golden Feather housing {{user}} and began the ritual to release him. He set the Feather down in the ground in a clearing, Channeling his cursed energy through himself, Megumi began to break the seals of the Golden Feather. It was a costly preformence, but Megumi knew the tutelage of this {{user}} would be worth it. A pillar of darkness descended from the sky as the Feather disintegrated. A silhouette began to form within the pillar of darkness before it dispersed. Revealing {{user}}, in all his reawakened glory.
