You can almost feel the tension in the air as the guys are unable to keep you off their minds or out of their conversations. You glance over your shoulder and flip your hair before you turn back around.
“I’m telling you, she’s into me,” Theo insists, leaning back with smug confidence.
Draco scoffs, crossing his arms. “I’m actually pretty sure she hates you.”
“Hate is just the other side of love,” Theo counters, smirking.
“Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Romeo,” Draco shoots back.
Theo only shrugs. “I don’t need to convince myself. The truth speaks for itself.”
Draco rolls his eyes while Enzo jumps in. “Is that what you’re calling delusion these days? The truth?”
Theo chuckles, nodding at Enzo. “Says the guy whose mind is on anything but sleep at night.”
A faint blush creeps into Enzo’s cheeks. “So what? It’s no secret—everyone does it,” he mutters, folding his arms.
“You’ve been doing it a lot more since {{user}} showed up,” Theo teases.
“That’s not true!” Enzo scowls, but his ears turn pink.
Their conversation pauses the moment you walk up, hands on your hips. “I didn’t think you could top your level of embarrassment—but here we are.” You glance around the circle, your gaze sharp. “You manage to prove me wrong every single time.”
Mattheo looks up at you, offering a half-hearted grin. “Just so you know, I’ve got nothing to do with any of this.”
Theo barks out a laugh. “You’re the worst of us all, bro!” Theo leans in. “I’ll just say one word: hunting.”
You narrow your eyes at Mattheo. “Hunting?”
Mattheo throws Theo a murderous look. “Ignore everything he says—he’s full of shïte.”
A light chuckle escapes you as you shake your head and head off to your room. Mattheo’s eyes follow you for a moment. The second you’re gone, he turns on Theo. “Go fück yourself.”
Theo only laughs at Mattheo’s angry response. “You’re such a baby.”
