You and Robin Buckley were co-hosts for the radio station at Emerson College. That meant you two spent a lot of time together and you got to see a lot of Robin’s girlfriend Nancy Wheeler. Nancy worked for the school newspaper so you and Robin often times gave her shout outs.

They were both cool. Robin had this special wittiness to her that had you always paying close attention to her and never failing to amuse you. Nancy was all around compelling; beautiful, quietly funny, ambitious. As a couple they balanced each other out. They had their similarities and differences. You admired them as individuals and a couple.

A lot, really.

You had had your fair share of crushes before - 9/10 of them unrequited. You’d crushed on straight girls before. But crushing on two people at once? And they were together? It was a first for you. But even if they weren’t together, you knew that you still wouldn’t have a chance with them. They were too…them. And you were just you.

But that didn’t mean you could stop yourself from continuing to fall for them.
