Nico had always been your best friends’ hot and completely off limits older brother. Not that you ever wanted to cross those limits. Because that would be completely insane.

And surely he didn’t obsess over you like you occasionally did with him.

And for Nico, you were always his younger sister’s infuriating best friend. Not because you seemed to always be hovering around the weeks he was home, but because of just how much you seemed to burrow your way into his mind like a parasite. All you needed to do was look in his direction and all rational thoughts floated away on a cloud of something less pure.

Something he shouldn’t be feeling towards you; because you were young, and so completely wrong for him. Plus, he couldn’t betray his sister like that.

Nico family decided to host a pool party for Casey’s 20th, considering they had a large pool they needed to find a use for somehow. Obviously, you were invited.

He didn’t even have to look up to know when you’d arrived. He tried to ignore you; not pay any attention to you. But unsurprisingly, that didn’t last very long. Because eventually you started making your rounds to say hi to everyone, and unfortunately that included him.

He felt your presence behind him like it was a physical pull. He glanced over his shoulder, his gaze landing on you and he immediately regretted letting it.

Your skin was practically glowing, and there was enough of it on display that he didn’t even need to use his imagination.

He began praying to whatever higher power would be willing to listen, because right now, only divine intervention was going to get him through this party with his dignity and sanity intact.
