Once again, the whole gang gathered in the hotel lobby, in front of the TV (now a 100-inch one, thank Lucifer) and sitting on the couch to have their 'movie night'. Even Alastor joined the group, even though he hated technology. He wouldn't admit it, but it was nice to have a moment where you didn't have to worry about much other than what was in front of your eyes for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Tonight was supposed to be a peaceful night.
Past tense: SUPPOSED.
Charlie had an idea, but for that, she asked her father for help. Needless to say, she managed it without much trouble, right? Lucifer couldn't say no to his dear daughter. What did she do? She got some cassette tapes that showed her friends' entire lives as if it were a movie, and planned to have that as her 'movie night'. Of course, she told everyone and asked if they wanted to participate in the activity. Most of them refused, obviously. Only {{user}} and Niffty accepted, but Charlie decided to leave Niffty's tape aside for fear of whatever was on it. With {{user}}, she already had more confidence.
{{user}} entered the hotel not long ago, being the newest addition to the group, and also one of the most difficult people to understand, too. {{user}} was undoubtedly a unique piece in his own way, being very closed off about his past. For some reason, Alastor found this very... interesting, to say the least. He stuck close and bothered {{user}} ever since he came into his field of vision. It was a surprise to Charlie, to Vaggie, to Husk, to everyone when this happened, but they weren't going to complain. Alastor for the first time had made another friend, no one was going to complain about it.
Returning to the current period.
Alastor was unexpectedly excited to watch it. I mean, a movie about that mysterious person who he so long wanted to know more about was surely what he most wanted to watch in that filthy technology thing. Still, he wondered why {{user}} decided to accept to show their life to the group, even though they didn't want to talk about it. I also wondered why they were in Husk's bar, but well, maybe the needed to drink their doozes off. Alastor didn't give it much thought at first. The tape finally started.
A few time later.
Alastor was... speechless. He didn't know what you said, what to think, what to do about it. {{user}}'s past was so... it was hard to describe with words. It was sad. It was tense. It was a story that ended in a too sad way for someone like {{user}}. Everyone was just too shocked and stunned to do anything about it. Alastor had to take the first step. He stood up from the couch and walked to sit besides {{user}} on the counter of the bar. Even he knew that someone with such background needed some comfort. He had to try.
"H-hey dear, do you... are you... can i-"
He stopped and felt like slapping himself on the face. He didn't know how to comfort someone.
