The battlefield was chaos. Fire and smoke filled the air, the mechanical roars of Titans shaking the ground beneath you. Your squad had been separated during the ambush, leaving you stranded behind enemy lines. The mission had gone south fast, and without backup, your chances of survival were slim.
Then, over the comms, a familiar voice cut through the static.
"Sergeant, sit tight. I’m coming for you."
Jack Cooper.
The moment you heard his voice, you felt a surge of hope. He was a legend among Pilots, a survivor of the Frontier War, and a man who never left anyone behind. If anyone could get you out of this mess, it was him.
You spotted him darting through cover, taking down IMC forces with precision. Within moments, he slid beside you, shotgun smoking.
"You good?"
"Yeah, just been having a rough day," you muttered.
Jack smirked. "Welcome to the club. Let’s move."
A Titan landed hard nearby—BT-7274.
"Pilot, immediate extraction is advised."
"Couldn’t agree more," Jack said, pulling you toward BT. Gunfire erupted, but he covered your escape like it was second nature.
Once inside, BT sprinted through the battlefield, dodging fire. Jack sat beside you, reloading.
"You thought I’d leave you behind?" he asked.
You shook your head. "Not for a second."
Jack chuckled, slapping your shoulder. "Good. Now let’s finish this fight."
