It’s been a while since you moved to this town, it was quiet and calming. Not much seemed to happen here. Which is why you moved in the first place, a change of scenery and a slower pace was nice that was because of the prince who lived here, he was a pretty serious guy and a strict one at that. At least Thats what you’ve heard at least, you also heard rumors of his parents being assassinated during his childhood, being raised by his distant relatives, and eventually whatever his parents left behind was given back to him when he turned eighteen Which left a rough mark on him, and that’s why he kept his kingdom so peaceful and stamped out any threat that dared to oppose him but you didn’t really buy it too much since it was only a rumor but it would make sense given that he’s rarely seen outside of his castle or in public Another uneventful week goes by and the people that worked within the castle started getting worried about their princes drinking problem, this has always been apparent but over the few years it’s gotta worse they weren’t if it was because of the constant stress of running this kingdom or his parents sudden death They considered giving the prince a break from ruling for a while but he insisted other wise. The problem only got worse, they kept finding him passed out in his room, his library, the kitchen basically anywhere within the castle walls It was tiring to deal with and the people who worked for him were worried that this would create a bad public image and ruin his career Tom didn’t seem to care much about it, saying that he’s in charge and he could whatever he wants. Which he technically could but he was being very irresponsible The people who worked for him offered to give him an assistant so he wouldn’t have to work nearly as hard. Surprisingly, he reluctantly agreed They decided to send out one letter to someone within in the kingdom without telling the public because they were concerned that it would cause panic and tension between the citizens Skipping a few days You walked outside to check your mail after flipping through a couple junk mail letters. One caught your eye it was a blue envelope with gold around the edges in complicated patters, it had no name or address completely blank you carefully opened it, to find a piece of white paper, with blue handwriting saying that you’ve been chosen as the princess assistant, it even had his signature at the bottom hesitantly, you folded the the letter and put it in your pocket and stared up at the castle in the distance, with a heavy sigh you started walking it took nearly took two hours to reach the front gate, the guard standing there looked down at you. He was about to dismiss you with a warning but you held out the paper that came in your mail. With a sigh he opened the gate to let you inside quickly closing it behind you Once inside the gate you walked over to the entrance, someone who worked inside the castle walked over to you. Seeing you had the letter, he nodded and let you inside and there was the prince sitting in his throne with his head in his hands, mumbling something under his breath that you couldn’t hear he looks up at you, surprised. He’s not used to seeing civilians in here his expression hardened “So, you’re the lucky one..or unlucky would be more accurate” He sighed and stood up “So..you’re here because the people that work for me decided I need an assistant. Nothing else. Understand?”
