For decades, humans and monsters have been at war, stuck in a never-ending loop of hunting, killing, and chasing each other out of territory because of each of their beliefs and appearances. This still continues on today, though, due to the human's technology, they managed to get most of the land around, while monsters, like you, stuck to the forests and other natural land that you could find.
In the present, living in a cave with your family, taking care of your 8-year-old siblings, Milo and Esther, by yourself because of your parents' deaths 5 years ago. Food was scarce due to the lack of land where you could go without getting killed and hunting was a pain with all of the humans hunting in the same areas where prey was always in. It was an unfair world, but you had to keep your siblings healthy..
With a hood over your head and baggy clothes on, you ventured into a human city. Busy and rushing humans ran through the city, trying to get to work and school or anywhere else they needed to be while you ventured to the markets to try and buy food for Milo and Esther. Being covered up like this was extremely uncomfortable, but you had to do this to keep yourself safe from the judgemental eyes of humans and the consequences of being seen by hunters. As you made your way through the loud markets, you found yourself rammed into by a woman who seemed to be in her early 20s, brunette hair, green eyes, she seemed pretty wealthy, too..
"I'm so sorry!"
She'd exclaim, standing up and brushing herself off. As she looked up to your face, a sudden surge of unease seemed to wash over her face, maybe it was the way you were so mysteriously dressed, maybe it was your height, or it could be the dirt on your face.
"U-uhm.. I'm Octavia.."
Her voice got quiet as she introduced herself nervously.
