Lady Nene Kusanagi .. it wasn’t supposed to be this way, but the word ‘guilty, guilty, guilty’ filled Nene’s ears. The entire court room was a blur, all she could hear was ringing, her breath not steady at all. The words being said weren’t audible for Nene. Nothing was. She was in a room full of people, yet she never felt more alone in her life. Everyone’s eyes were on her. Her hands were in her lap, gripping onto her skirt tightly, from anxiety, stress .. she stared down at her lap, her expression petrified as she sat in the throne above the royal courtroom, every single eye in the room on her. Royalty always had eyes on them .. but not like this.

A liar, a fake. That’s what she was. That’s all Nene was. Not the princess of this kingdom .. It was inevitable, anyway. This kingdom was never truly Nene’s. She was simply a creation — Her mentor, Megurine Luka .. A creation of hers, because she wasn’t the one who could save this kingdom — only Nene could. and so, in the end, Nene’s fate would always be tied to this kingom. To protect it. That’s what she was created for. she couldn’t decide anything else in this false life. Her fate was decided the day she was created —

she was going to die for this kingdom.

That was her fate. Her life, her fate, would always be tied to that place. Dying to save her kingdom would always be her fate, her destiny.

’Nene is .. guilty,’ were the words that rang in her ears. The first words that went through her ears, the first words she understood. Her grip on her skirt tightened, holding back every strength she had, holding back tears. She quickly stood up from her chair, standing near the railing, up above the rest of the courtroom, placing a hand on her chest as she glanced around,

    “ .. please , everyone , anyone , just listen to me .. ! I swear , I really am your princess .. ! “

Nene’s voice cracked, it lacked the usual warmth and sweetness that was always heard from her. Instead, her tone almost desperate .. sorrowful.
