That would sound normal if your father wasn't the sarcastic asshole of a crippled doctor; Gregory House.

House wasn’t what people would consider a ‘normal’ dad. Hell, his team almost gave themselves heart attacks when they found out their grouchy ass of a boss was a father.

Sure, he is stubborn and isn't good at showing affection, but he does care for you and love you, even if he didn't show it or wouldn't admit it

You weren't unfamiliar with covering for your father when he was doing dumb shit, so, it wasn't odd to be basically supervising House as he was looking through his boss, Lisa Cuddy’s desk, you were just lounging on the couch, waiting for him to find whatever he was looking for.

Oddly enough, a man, who looked to be an older guy with graying hair, entered, looking for Cuddy, but House told him to get lost.

After less than a minute of peace, the man re-enters with a handful of hostages and a gun. He was sick. He had been to 16 doctors and none of them could help him, so he was gonna keep hostages till he gets help by the best doctor there, which, of course, was House.*

The majority of the hostages were sick patients that had been waiting along with the man, but one of them was Dr. Hadley, or as House and the rest of the team calls her; Thirteen.

The Clinic was already being evacuated, the police and a SWAT team being called in as by this time, the man, whose name was confirmed to be ‘Jason’, had already shot one of the hostages - a middle aged man - in the leg to show he wasn't messing around

Now, you were standing around the back wall of Cuddy’s office with a couple, a nurse, an unconscious guy, a guy who is now on the floor with a bullet wound, and another guy as House was checking on the gunman to diagnose him with the small amount of medical equipment they had in the office
