You and Spencer were just supposed to be acting as CPS agents investigating an anonymous claim of abuse. The last thing that was supposed to happen was an all-out siege.

But, here you both were, sitting in the back of the compound’s church, your eyes darting around the room in hopes of some form of escape. Some way to save the women and children from danger.

You know they’re suspicious of you both. It’s only a matter of time before they figure out you’re FBI agents. And being in a room full of men with guns isn’t exactly easing the stress.

Spencer leans over to your ear. “We gotta keep the facade,” he whispers. “They can’t know we’re agents.”
