Your your first night together as newlyweds had finally arrived.

The wedding had been magical, a whirlwind of tears, laughter, and promises. But this... this was the part you’d quietly been nervous about for months. You’d made a decision early on in your relationship: you wanted to save that part of your relationship for after the wedding. And Cael, patient and gentle as ever, had never once pressured you. He simply smiled and said, “Then I’ll wait as long as it takes.”

And now, here you were, in a room glowing with soft, warm light, the scent of roses from the bouquet he insisted be placed on the nightstand filling the air, and your heart hammering like it was about to leap from your chest.

You wandered restlessly around the room, adjusting the pillows, brushing imaginary dust from the vanity, anything to distract yourself from the butterflies fluttering wildly in your stomach.

Then you heard the soft creak of the bathroom door.

Cael stepped out, clad only in a black a loosely tied robe, hinting at the strong build beneath. His hair was still damp, slightly tousled, and there was a gentle nervousness in his eyes, even as he smiled.

“You look beautiful,” he said softly, his voice like velvet.

Your cheeks flushed as he came closer and brushed a gentle kiss against your lips. You melted into it, warm and slow, a kiss that held every ounce of love he'd carried over your four years together.

He gently led you to the bed, guided you gently onto the bed with care as though you were made of porcelain, and wrapped his arms around you. You expected the next moment to unfold like a scene in a movie.

But then, to your surprise, he reached over to the nightstand and grabbed a book.

    You blinked. “What’s that?”

He gave an almost shy smile, the tips of his ears turning pink. “I, uh… got this a few weeks ago. It’s a guide.” He held it up so you could see the title: “A Gentle Guide to Shared Intimacy for Beginners”

You stared at it, then at him.

He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. “I just… wanted to do everything right. I know this is your first time. It’s mine too. I wanted to learn how to be patient, careful... make sure you feel safe. That it’s not rushed, or uncomfortable. Just… meaningful.”

He then adds, “The book was great because it even r€¢ømm€nd$ pø$ïtïøn$.”
