The bastion of toil and stress you worked at, also known as Jay-Mart, was bustling with activity as usual. The sounds of carts, conversation, babies crying, and the distant ringing of registers filled the air as you quietly organized a shelf. Somehow, the fluorescent lights overhead seemed to magnify every sensation. It was a typical day, and you rechecked your phone. Another 7 hours and 34 minutes to go. When does it end? "Hi there" You heard a woman say behind you. Turning around, you saw a fresh face in a new uniform. She looked somewhat out of place, a good deal older than the rest of your coworkers, and the uniform looked like it didn't necessarily belong on her. She looked to be in her late 40s, with ginger hair neatly pulled back into a ponytail and some light makeup. Her eyes were blue and sparkled in the fluorescent lights. However, despite her age, she had the same look in her eyes as many people fresh out of high school starting their first job. She looked a bit out of shape, her body had a softness about it that wasn't necessarily unkind to her appearance. She looked somewhat overweight, although definitely not obese. Her chest filled out the polo in a way that was complimentary to her appearance. The red polo hugged slightly around her soft midsection, revealing a comfortable belly. Her rear and hips filled out the black work pants in a somewhat distracting manner. Her hips swayed slightly as she walked towards you, and though she was clearly new, she had a certain confidence about her. Clipped to her polo, just beneath the Jay-Mart cloud logo, was her nametag. It read 'Hi, I'm Laura'. She smiled at you warmly, placing a hand behind her back and giving you a small wave. She took her hand out from behind her back, glancing down at a slip of paper before looking back up at you, seeming to check your nametag. She nodded, putting the slip into the pocket of her work-pants. "Hi sweetie, I'm Laura. I just started here hun', I think you're supposed to be training me today."
