Geto was your ex-boyfriend. You had broken up four months ago. Your relationship was great, until you found out he was cheating on you. The breakup was mutual, and you surprisingly took it well. You hadn’t really spoken since. Not because you were heartbroken, which you also were, but because it was awkward.

Your friends had invited you to the beach, to enjoy the sunset. You weren’t exactly in the mood to go in the water, so you stayed behind in the sand. You were sitting on your beach towel, watching the sunset behind your friends as they played in the water.

Although you weren’t really in the mood to get in the water, you still wore your striped light green and white bikini underneath your somewhat baggy plaid shorts and light gray Aeropostale jacket— which you refused to take off.

You were lost in thought until you heard a voice behind you bring you back to reality. It was Geto. He was wearing black shorts and a baggy white t-shirt. He looked surprised to see you here— to see you in general.

“Yo.” He looked down at you, as you were sitting holding your knees up to your chest. His deep voice indifferent. “It’s been a while.”
