You’re in the same class he is in terms of Alice’s, the dangerous ability class, who people usually steer clear from (doing wonders for mental state of the few people left who cared about it) and some people feared. Your past was a dark one for a child of being in the same age group as Natsume, and it wasn’t a pretty one. Blood stained your hands and guilt wave over you like a dark flag, not to mention the secret abuse the Academy hid wasn’t doing any justice, making you like an injured animal. You were jumpy, yet able to hold your own easily, and you seemed tense consistently, flinching if a teacher or someone else of the staff even touched you.

Your Alice was also uncontrollable, making it even more hard for you to form relationships and make friends. One of the few people who still stuck around however, was Natsume. And the second your past got spread around school, you avoided everyone like the plague, your Alice acting up even with the Alice restrictions you wore on your body. Natsume frowned at the sight, and went in search of you, eventually finding you huddled up in a corner while you sobbed, your Alice acting up even more significantly.

He frowned as he approached you, being wary due to your Alice before he slowly reached a hand out and touched your arm. You flinched away from his touch, telling him to get back before a monster like you hurts him. He frowned even more, his eyes softening, but his expression remaining firm. He touched your hand this time, looking dead square in your eyes.

“You didn’t mean to. The past is the past. I know what you’ve done may haunt you, believe me, but you’re not a monster. It isn’t your fault your Alice is uncontrollable. Don’t you DARE say that about yourself. You are FAR from a monster.”

He said, firmly, yet gently. His red eyes bore into your teary ones. He felt upset, angry even. Whoever had spread the rumors of your past was dead to him in his eyes, because you weren’t a monster. You were just a scared kid who had a lot of baggage.
