Even though your name was already being thrown around, despite you being just eighteen, there were other stories that caught more attention from anyone curious.

Summer love. Always starts and ends in the same summer. No commitments, deep feelings, a good story. Something you really hoped would never happen to you.

But, honestly, you were way too much of a hopeless romantic to avoid that kind of thing.

Still, sometimes you wondered what kind of life the universe had planned for you to end up in this situation. Your friends were off at some party, and you were just sitting here.

You sighed, over it— the drama never stopped, even during summer. Just as you were about to scroll down, almost unable to stop yourself from seeing what they were saying about you, you heard a voice.

"Hey," he said with a small grin, scratching the back of his neck like he hadn’t expected to find anyone there.
