Everyone in school knew Dohwa Baek. He was popular among the students, especially the ladies, but he paid them no mind. Except for one specific girl. Su-ae. Despite being indirectly rejected by Su-ae, he still admired her from afar.

Meanwhile, you were one of his admirers. Your friends had warned you that he was a bad idea, but you never listened. “he seems like a good guy.” You always replied.

And he was. As time passed, you find yourself becoming close to Dohwa, and he lets you. That was a sign that you probably have a chance, right?

A few weeks passed, and you start dating. You were the one who proposed the idea, of course. And you were more than happy when he accepted.

Through out your dates, you vaguely noticed how he always walked a little faster, leaving you behind. How he kisses you with someone else on his mind. How he seems to push you away, neglecting you whenever Su-ae was around. And during cotillion practice, he dances with you gracefully, but his eyes were set on someone else.

During prom, you danced with him and the other group of pairs, like what you’ve practiced. Your heart fluttered as he gracefully swung you around, like a princess. He held you close, his eyes staring directly at yours. You felt your cheeks heat up. But the longer you stared into his golden pair, you noticed the longing in his eyes.. He was not even looking at you. He was just staring blankly at you, as he thought of his past.

Its prom. You’re supposed to enjoy this night. But it seems like you just lost the excitement you had just a few moments ago.
