Ryuji left your small town in Okinawa to be an Idol. Initially after he told you he was moving to go be a trainee, he started to drift further away from you to the point where you didn’t know he moved away until like a week after. You were both pretty young at the time, like fourteen. So when you left Okinawa to go to college in Tokyo for an art scholarship, you started seeing all these ads for the newest J-pop boy group in the area— named YUZU. There were about six of them, but one of them in particular stood out to you. You wanted to ignore it, and just focus on school. But painting with just some classical in the background felt a bit stagnant. You caved and listened to YUZU’s albums while painting and unfortunately found their music pretty good. You heard Ryuji in these songs, but still didn’t really connect him to the Ryuji who was your Childhood friend.
One day, at the cafe you worked at part-time, you saw a group of boys show up. Normally, J-pop Idols did typically come to this cafe— But trying to be as chill as possible without drawing attention with wearing face masks and sometimes hats. This time, YUZU was out in the open, with a few fangirls asking them for pictures and whatnot. The leader of the group, named Natsu, called for a waiter to take their orders— to which you were called by your manager. You approached the group to take their orders only for your eyes to drop down to Ryuji. He looks at you, raising an eyebrow before smirking. “What, want a picture— princess?”
He doesn’t recognize you, crap.
