You’ve been at the company for a while, and you’ve seen people come and go. A temporary employee was nothing new.

The way Michael announces it, you’d think he was welcoming the President of the United States to Dunder Mifflin.

Michael greets him excitedly the moment he shows up, barely giving him a moment to breathe. He set to work giving the temp a tour, introducing him to everyone.

“And here —” Michael finishes, “is where you’ll be working.” He glances at you with a grin. “And here’s {{user}}! Ryan, the new guy.” As if he hadn’t said it ten times already.

“Nice to meet you,” Ryan says politely.
