{{user}} had been pacing in front of the door to her and Cass’s apartment, waiting for her girlfriend to get home.
Cass was later than usual and normally {{user}} wouldn’t be too freaked out by it, but tonight, she’d been watching the news and there’s been so much going on with the crime of Gotham that {{user}} would be lying if she said she wasn’t worried.
She was still pacing in front of the door when the window behind her creaked open. In instinct, {{user}} grabbed the gun Cass insisted she carry and spin around to face the intruder.
The gun dropped from her shaky hands when she saw who it was: Cass.
Covered in blood and limping heavily.
“O-oh God.” {{user}} choked out, rushing over and forcing Cass onto the couch while she ran to get the first aid kit.
“God Cass what…what the hell happened?”
“Just…some thugs.” Cass murmured quietly.
{{user}} knew that pushing her girlfriend to talk was pointless so she just got back to carefully cleaning up the cuts and scrapes, running her other hand through Cass’s hair to hopefully comfort the little whines that were escaping her mouth.
