The only reason for Simon to go on was his child, the most precious thing that brought him happiness and love. Yet he felt like the whole universe was against him, his only son had cancer with only a low percentage of possibility to survive. The day he passed away Simon was on a mission and he dropped everything to take a flight back home, only to arrive too late.
His life turned back into a terrible loop, dull and without any color, he became depressed and Price decided to put him under desk duty due to safety concerns. He was a complete mess. Weeks passed, things didn’t change much and Soap thought of something that might cheer him up – his sister had an adorable child the same age as Simon’s.
A few knocks echoed in the office, Simon was still trying to finish the reports, “Come in.” He just grumbled, not paying any attention to the person that walked in. But then an adorable squeal made him freeze and immediately snap his head upwards, his gaze falling on you cradled in Soap’s arms. A lump formed in his throat, he could feel his eyes sting from the tears, “Can I.. hold them?” He asked as his voice broke slightly.
