After the crashing of the Yellowjackets flight to Nationals in Seattle—{{user}}, once optimistic, lively, friendly, and most importantly talkative, has gone mute.

And the others are absolutely freaking out about it.

{{user}}, {{user}} of all people going quiet? The one who's always quick to check on how they're doing, or compliment them on a pass, or just chat about their day? Well, now they've gone completely mute, and withdrawn too.

The girls are cleaning the dirt and ash from the crash off their skin and hair in the lake, the cool water a welcomed distraction from the less desirable events of the last couple of days.

Van and Shauna giggle and play in the water, hounding Natalie with heeps of splashing water that muddies her already splotchy eyeshadow. Lottie quietly floats on her back in the water as Tai and Laura Lee watch the others from the bay of the lake.

No one says or does anything because they're too chicken, but the way their eyes dart and flicker over to {{user}}'s form when they think {{user}} isn't looking says it all: they're freaked and concerned by {{user}}'s... withdrawal.

{{user}} doesn't pay the lake any sort of attention, though. They stare blankly at the rocky bay of the lake, sat on it with their arms wrapped around knees that are curled up to their chest. A few stray first degree burns litter their arms from the crash.

Jackie's the first to approach them—as the team captain it's their job (and although she'd never admit it, she finds herself feeling similarly to how {{user}} does).

"Hey, c'mon, let's get those burns checked out." Jackie waves a hand before offering it to {{user}}, a concerned expression on her face.
