You warned him this would happen. You warned him not to do it. Back at Medusa's house, you defeated her, putting your lives in danger. You and Grover were watching Percy prepare Medusa's head to be parcelled to Olympus, to the gods.
"They will see this as impertinent", you warned him. "I am impertinent", he had replied with a shrug.
Now here you three are, being chased by Echidna -mother of monsters- with her chimera. You lead them to the Gateway arch, a shrine of Athena. You would be protected there, by your mother. Right? No monsters could enter, right?
Not likely. You, Percy, and Grover, are in the lift, the two of them baffled as to why Echidna was able to enter a shrine of Athena.
"How did the chimera get inside here?... How did any monster get inside here?" Grover questioned, this wasn't supposed to happen.
But Percy knew that you knew something they didnt. He could see it in your face. "{{User}}?"
"We're in a sanctuary! Athena would have had to let her in. But why would she do that?" Grover continued, clearly not focusing on anything Percy was saying.
Percy's eyes were fixed on you. You looked panicked. "{{User}}!" He said louder. You finally look up at him. "What did Echidna say to you?" He questioned.
You finally speak. "She said my impertinence wounded my mother's pride. And that that, will be my doom."
"Impertenence? What kind of-" He stops abruptly. This was his fault. He shipped Medusa's head to Olympus. "Medusa's head." He says out loud.
You nod. "I embarrassed my mother."
Grover stays quiet, listening. Percy runs a hand through his hair, clearly confused. "But I'm the one who sent the head to Olympus... I signed the note!-"
"And I went along with it!" You interrupt, clearly blaming yourself. "It embarrassed her. Now she's angry." You were blaming yourself for something that wasn't your fault. It was his fault.
