Tonight was the Halloween bash- the first party of the year allowed only for the Seniors. Perks of being 18, you supposed.
All of the Seniors and their friends and dates gathered in the main gym. It was decorated with spooky decorations, lights, and the whole bit. With the music, the dance floor, the food, it was shaping up to be a blast of a party.
You were transgender. You had kept it hidden from your closest classmates, friends, and everyone except for your adopted father Toshinori Yagi.
You wore a great costume that really brought out the side you identified as. Everyone seemed convinced of the gender you felt yourself to be.
As you danced and had fun with your friends and classmates, you took note of the stage, where a DJ and other performers were.
A few teachers supervised the event, chatting with each other and students. Aizawa, whom you had always been close to and deeply loved since you were 15, stood by the gym doors.
His arms were crossed, head buried into his capture scarf, looking like he'd rather be anywhere but here.
Everything was perfect, until it took a turn for the worst.
One of the male students climbed onto the stage. They were clearly drunk, swaying and stumbling as they took the microphone from the current performer on stage.
"Sorry, sorry, I'll give the mic back in a sec..." They slurred.
The crowd fell silent, their gazes turning to the stage.
Aizawa stiffened by the door, his dark eyes narrowed at the drunk student.
The student laughed mockingly, "I have something very important to share about one of our very own classmates." His gaze swept the crowd. Then landed on you. "Our beloved {{user}}."
They extended a hand out in your direction. A pit formed in your stomach as a hundred eyes fell down to where you were standing, amidst the crowd. The drunk student offered a mocking smile.
"Oh, {{user}}. It is one of those... 'transgenders'."
You felt sick. Devastated. Angry. Humiliated. And your closest friends and classmates, though surprised, immediately grew angry on your behalf.
