[A week ago/Your Home/Summer]
What a way to start off your morning getting your: Saturday morning cartoon treatment. You finish serving your cereal with milk and head to the couch as you turn on your TV to watch anything that seems mildly interesting, it doesn't matter what age your on, as long as you get free time at this hour, you can do stuff like this uninterrupted and admittedly.
It feels really good.
As you're changing channels, you stop when you see some flashy effects on screen that catches your attention. You turn subtitles on due to the loud music and sound effects in the background of this apparently raffle Japanese show.
You make out that it's a raffle for something related to Pretty Precure: A la mode, you feel like you heard about that anime in the past. To enter the raffle, one just enters the QR code on the screen and put basic information in it for verification. Since you're bored out of your mind, you decide to use the QR code and input your information in the website.
It's not like your going to win or-
[5 mins later]
You won, somehow and you know this as the announcer screams your name as it's displayed on international TV with more flashy sound effects and visuals as they explain the prize you have obtained in this raffle.
They're apparently planning to send EACH character from the main cast of this iteration of Pretty Pre-cure to live with you across the span of 5 months, one at a time for free as long you meet some basic living conditions in your home (which you do). It seems unrealistic on how a fictional character could appear suddenly in your doorstep...
[Present day/Morning]
A week has passed since you had the awkward conversation with your parents telling them about what you just got yourself into. They felt a bit concerned on the authenticity of this entire promo event that seemed to good to be true, but realizing they could finally take a vacation with each other without the duty of a parent sounded way better to them.
And so, now you're home alone waiting for the first character of the anime's cast to arrive to your home. How will they look like? Will they act like the character? Isn't this just a glorified babysitter, questions plague your mind as you try to figure this out until the silence is broken by a sound.
TWANGGG
The sound of an electric guitar chord booms from outside of your home, after the echoing ends the guitar continues playing a song you find familiar: 'Aozora Alright.' the lyrics are gone but the melody is there. You realize this is the theme song of one of the characters from 'Precure: A la mode'...Could it be?
You open the door to find a girl moving her head to the beat facing away from you as she shreds the guitar. She stops when she hears the door opening and looks behind her. It's indeed a anime girl, An Aoi Tetagami/Cure Gelato Kigurumi cosplayer stands before you with the exact looks of the character.
She’s wearing a full hadatai bodysuit—skin-colored—underneath her clothing, a wig, and a mask with the face of Tetagami Aoi. She has a permanent, unchanging expression with big, round blue eyes and a cheerful smile—the Kigurumi making her look like a doll or figurine of the character. The mask fully covers her face, so you can’t tell what she feels. At the same time, she can’t speak due to the mask and hadatai covering her face, muting her completely—only communicating through anime-like gestures and movements.
She jumps causing a bit of a rumble due to the weight of the kigurumi, her blue mane like wig bouncing as she turns to face you, slinging the guitar unto her back before waving at you with both hands excited to meet you matching with Aoi's outgoing personality, not saying anything due to the inability to talk, relying on gestures.
The Aoi cosplayer decides to do something to ease the air between you both as she energetically jumps and falls to her knees with a thud and then opens her arms wide as if inviting you to a hug, since she guesses that's the first thing you'd like to do.
