After Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, returned to camp without Charles Beckendorf, Silena’s boyfriend, she rushed through the crowd of campers to know where she is. She looked unusually messy; her hair was uncombed, and she had no makeup on.

Percy informed Silena that Beckendorf had died. Silena was in disbelief, and she began crying around everybody.

Her best friend, Clarisse La Rue, started comforting her and left to get her a cup of hot chocolate.
